Its amazing how shocked everyone including myself was to hear of old Cosmo shouting racist terms. The public sees the actors playing these characters and assume that this actor or actress is just like the characters they portrey on television. Which in most instances this is not the case, and we really know absolutly nothing about these individuals. We see these characters and relate to them and say i could really be friends with that guy or gal. When we really have no real idea of what this person is like. The medium of television has more control over most peoples lives than i think anyone realizes. Is the world so screwed up now that we have to result to tube to find our friendships? Maybe the media has just molded us into these television junkies so well will need to find companionship on the tube. The media has most so scared of this "mean world" that the public thinks its safe to just be freinds with cosmo than the guy down that street. Hell that guy down the street might be a racist I don't want to acossiate with him. Then old Cosmo tuns out to be the same way what the hell is a person to do now. Oh yeah change the channel.

TITTIES AND TEARS

This is the Biggest the biggest load of crap i have ever seen the woman breaks down in tears over a damn breast. She's got them too, well kind of. Its a terrible thing for media when these so called leaders step in and try to sensor everything there is possible to sensor in the world. They act as regulators but seem to just cause more problems than to solve them. She's so worried about her kids seeing this sort of thing when its going to happen sooner or later. Well that is if they don't BLOW THEIR BRAINS OUT BECAUSE OF THE FUCKED UP STATE THEIR MOTHER PUT THEM IN. Well i just think causing all this fuss over a thing as small as Janet's breast is ridiculous. I say give her a hand she found a way for free exposure and exposure she defiantly got. I suppose this is how status conferral can help or hurt the individual. She got plenty of exposure some good some not so good but it was all media attention, so could it really have been that bad. She had just released a new album so she could abloslutly use the exposure. The only problem i had eith the whole thing was they kept denying that it was a staged act when it obviously was just tell the truth, but i suppose the FCC wouldn't have like that response either.

ohhh the needle!!!

Is the direct effect also known as this hypodermic needle one shot to inform everyone. Is this effect really possible in todays society with all of the demassified mediums the public has to choose from. Its not like the old days when everyone relied on their total news from newspapers and radio. My understanding of the direct effect is when one message is sent out and controls the ideas and thoughts of whats going on it the world. It seems in todays society If there is one message saying one thing there are three more saying the opposite. I suppose television could have this effect to an extent but never in a way that radio used to be able to. Like the infamous "War Of The Worlds" broadcast by Orson Wells when everyone flipped out thinking our planet was being attacked. A thing like that could never happen to that extent today, but imagine that feeling to trust a medium so much that people belive anything that comes through that channel.

store opening

So i was watching the news again imagine that well actually i was watching something elese and a news headline came up during the commercials which is usually important catchy news. Well not this one it was the top headline for the news today "there is a new grocierie store opening soon" which i guess to some is pretty big news but it still seems pretty thin to me. i do live in a fairly remote part of the united states but it just seems that they could find a headliner with a little more content than this. It was the local news and that was a local story which is needed all i'm saying is that to air a commercial for advertisments they could probably find a little news more interesting than a new store especially if they are going to pay how ever much money it cost to get that add on the air. i suppose the adverisement could have been paid for by the store that was opening but put in as to look like a news story. If so is that propaganda? I'm not sure. or would it be more like the trade magazines advertising and passing it as articles or is that the same as propaganda? mr h if your out there let me know

I saw this and had to post it that damn fox news i think that is where i saw the clip of the squirrel getting saved and school shooting that i mentioned earlier. that's funny stuff that just about sums up for fox news I'll leave it at that.

universal and youtube

So universal is suing youtube over some copywrite laws which seems kind of crazy its not likely that the video's will stop on Youtube. I suppose they would or could but they will just surface some where else on the internet its wide open to stop it on wide wide web. There's so much copywrite laws broken every day is it really a law. if the news releases in the news are not breaking the law is it still breaking the law to show some thing on the internet if everyone knows that it is made by some one else. my understanding is that universal is suing becasuse their clients clips of music and what not are being shown on you tube but are the people posting them on you tube claiming them as their own. i belive universal just wants to try to get old murdock by the balls and it probably wont happen not that it would phase him anyways "pocket change" to him.

news vs entertainment

So the media says that this tomkat and all this other bull shit is news. Is it really news or just entertainment. It seems that the so called news of today is more entertainment than news well, the television news is much worse for entertainment than news. I suppose television is Entertainment so it's only natural that the news gravitates towards the entertainment side of the news. I belive that the media in general push things on the public even if its not wanted. but there are many poeople in the world that think this news is the only important news. So maybe the media has pushed this status conferal too far, because there are idiots out there that are obsessed about these nonsense stories. The question is are so many people's lives so messed up that they really have to live through watching some so called stars get married and having all of the shitty details. i suppose it could be linked to that mean world syndrom as well the people see this shitty world on tv and that makes their lives that much worse so they expose them selves to this so called super star world of tomkat and all the other bull shit. but who am i to say any thing ive blogged about that damn tomkat thing twice now. PS i hate Tom Cruise

poor steve

Poor Steve the man had balls of steel and a damn sting ray of all things had to take him away. There is debate on whether or not to show his death video or not. He always said that to he wanted it shown if it ever happened, but can you image the horrible time that would pass for his family. Everywhere they turned they would have to see this damn sting ray take him away day after day and i personally think that would really blow. On the other hand that would be pretty crazy to see, but i just don't think that it would be worth it to his family because that would tear me apart seeing one of my family members taking one to the heart every time i turned around screw that. Poor Steve he was amazing

commercials

If the Nielson is rating and keeping track of the commercials that are being watched is there any thing else left for them to monitor. If they are going to demassify commercials and change the layout of the commercials we know to day are they going to change the way we watch the shows on television as well. Is there going to be less time for the shows and films and more time for advertising will there be more infomercials or whole time slots meant for just advertisers since they think they are not advertised enough. Eventhough the total amount of television being wached is up its still not enough for the advertisers, but i guess it will never be enough. It is said that Tivo is causing this increase in total tv and also the commercials are being watched the commercials are being watched only people are fast forwarding through them. Maybe they will just put a coca cola logo on the screen so thats all you see as your fast forwarding. Who knows i guess the advertisers will always find their way around any situation.

very funny

So i saw tenacious d this weekend and it was hilarious i don't think it will be for everyone but if you like jack black i think you'll love it. It was ridiculusly stupid but that was what made it so wonderful. There were a few times i thought it was going to be terribly cheesy and it was but they made it work to their advantage. I recomend this film to anyone who loves comedy and needs a good laugh.

poor karmer

So kramer says he is sorry and he's not a racist, but just getting mad doesn't make you a racist. The Racist is already there the fact that he got upset only brought it out and intensified it. The media will leave him alone untill they need him again for some show which probably won't happen, but if the media needs him they will make it seem that everything is ok and he's not a racist. The media has the power to call the shots if they feel like portraying him as racist they can but if they feel like fixing his image they can do that to. The sad part is that most people would just go along with what ever the media says.

School shootings should be important news

I was watching the news this morning and they spent ten minutes with this story of a hurt squirrel if thats spelled right any ways then they go to news on a school shooting and all they say on it was the principal says that everything is ok and only spent less that a minute on the school shooting
